Lunar eclipse observation through telescope (28 February 2018) As a part of extension activity of a department a team of faculty members from our department organized a program on   Lunar eclipse observation through telescope in the college campus on 28 th Feb. 2018. A number of students from science as well as from engineering college from our campus observed the lunar eclipse through telescope.  Dr. V. S.Raykar and Dr. P. B. Abhange from physics dept. Guided students about Lunar eclipse and how to observe it through telescope.  A total number of 35 students and 10 faculty members were benefited from this program.

Visit of SYBSC physics students of Vasantrao Naik College of Arts and Science, Mhasala to our physics dept. on 1 March 2018. As a part of students support and progression a team of faculty member and students from Vasantrao Naik College of Arts and Science, Mhasala visited our department on 1 st March 2018. The purpose of the visit is to perform a minimum number of Physics experiments of S.Y.B.Sc physics syllabus and get hand on experience on it. Dr. V.S.Raykar guided the students by showing experiments from optics and Dr. V.A. Rane showed them Electronic Experiments. A total number of 15 students and 1 faculty member was benefited from this program.

Academic Visit of S.Y./T.Y.B.Sc. Students to Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune on 08.03.2018 This year, the Physics Department has organized an academic tour of S.Y. and T.Y.B.Sc. Students in view of Science Day Celebration in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune on 08 March 2018. The students and staff members who moved for a one day return tour were 18 and 04 respectively. The purpose of the educational trip was to provide students with practical and theoretical experience of the Research in Physics, where leading Physics Research in various fields   is carried out. The trip also provided an opportunity to learn from such visits and give students a well rounded foundation upon which to build their knowledge for future careers in Physics.
